Mesh Explorer (formerly PGAdmin)

For more in depth access to MeshDB's datebase, you can use the SQL Explorer tool.tool to perform complex queries and operations on the the MeshDB dataset.

HeyTry gang,it Iout haveat added a new SQL Explorer to MeshDB that is built right into the project (replacing PGAdmin)! This means youhttps://db.nycmesh.net/explorer/play/.
You can use it by logging in with your MeshDB account! It is read-only, but will let you create and store queries for later use by yourself and other volunteers. I went in and granted access to this tool to a few people who already were supposed to have access to PGAdmin. Why did I do this? Because it was a pain in the butt to manage permissions and access to PGAdmin. It's not really built for staff-level access unfortunately, but this new plugin I found is, and the author is a chill dude who fixed several bugs I found while implementing it.Try it out at https://db.nycmesh.net/explorer/play/
If you don't have access, just shoot me, @Andrew Dickinson, or @James a DM. Thanks! (edited)

MeshDB exposes PGAdmin internally on the mesh at the following link:

It uses ACME certificates from Traefik to encrypt traffic, so it should be reasonably secure.

To get access, ask in the #meshdb channel for an account. This is a separate account from your MeshDB account, and is meant for folks who need more powerful READ ONLY access to MeshDB.

the

Bytool default, your account will be authorized to access MeshDB's read-only Postgres user. If you reallyor need write access for some reason (such as to fix a mistakeMesh usingDB someaccount, SQL-Fu),reach please loopout in an#meshdb administrator.on slack.
